The streets and walls of Whitstable
Ongoing throughout Whitstable Biennale
info@nataliekay.co.uk
Visual artist Natalie Kay is back in Whitstable and once more will be out and about – observing, documenting and drawing. She hopes to create a catalogue of daily life in a working seaside town throughout the biennale fortnight, with which permanent residents can engage and through which tourists and visitors alike can discover the heart of the community.
As the project progresses, artworks will be ‘hung’ in the streets and on the walls of Whitstable, marking the spot in which they were created – those who find a drawing are invited to keep it and visit one of the two base sites, where they will be able mark the ‘found site’ on a map.
Please keep your eyes alert – you may catch a glimpse of yourself!
